From the Editor-in-Chief: On the Publication of Volume 1, Issue 2

This editorial introduces Volume 1, Issue 2 of the European Hebrew Journal and reflects on the journal’s development during its inaugural year. It highlights the interdisciplinary scope of the issue, spanning Hebrew studies, biblical scholarship, linguistics, archaeology, Jewish studies, theology, textual criticism, and related fields, while reaffirming the journal’s Diamond Open Access mission. The editorial also discusses recent steps toward greater bibliographic visibility and scholarly discoverability, as well as the journal’s growing role as a platform for international academic exchange. Particular attention is given to the EHJ International Scholarly Online Conference, to be held 6–9 November 2026, as an extension of the journal’s aim to connect scholars across disciplines, institutions, and national contexts.
