DOI Policy
DOI Policy
European Hebrew Journal (EHJ) supports the use of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to promote persistent identification, citation stability, long-term accessibility, and interoperability within scholarly communication systems.
DOIs may be registered through an official DOI Registration Agency (such as Crossref or another recognized provider) and are intended to provide permanent and resolvable links to published materials regardless of future changes to website structure or URLs.
DOIs may be assigned to published content including:
• Research articles
• Review articles
• Editorials (where applicable)
• Book reviews (where applicable)
• Other scholarly materials published by the journal (where applicable)
DOIs are intended to be associated with the published Version of Record and to remain permanently linked to that version. Once registered, DOI identifiers remain unchanged, although associated metadata may be updated when necessary in accordance with publishing standards and best practices.
Published materials released prior to DOI activation may receive DOI registration retrospectively where appropriate and where journal infrastructure permits.
The journal supports internationally recognized metadata practices intended to improve discoverability through academic databases, repositories, library systems, and search engines. Assignment of a DOI does not in itself guarantee inclusion in indexing services, databases, or citation indexes.
Information regarding DOI implementation and activation status will be communicated transparently through the journal website.
