Interviews with Members of the European Hebrew Journal Editorial Board Published

The Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature has published interviews with two members of the Editorial Board of the European Hebrew Journal (EHJ): Professor Emanuel Tov and Dr. Nathaniel E. Greene.

New Interview with Professor Emanuel Tov Now Available on YouTube

The European Hebrew Journal is pleased to announce that a new interview with Professor Emanuel Tov, Professor Emeritus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and member of the Editorial Board of the European Hebrew Journal, is now available on YouTube.

The interview focuses on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Hebrew Bible, and biblical textual criticism. One of the central topics of the discussion is Professor Tov's recent scholarly monograph:

Scribal Practices and Approaches Reflected in the Texts Found in the Judean Desert, Revised Second Edition: Material Culture and Writing Practices in Modern Research (Brill, 2025; ISBN 9789004740693), a substantially revised edition of his classic handbook on the scribal practices reflected in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The interview was conducted by Željko Stanojević, Editor-in-Chief of the European Hebrew Journal and Director of the Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature (Belgrade, Serbia).

Call for Papers — European Hebrew Journal (EHJ) Volume 2 Issue 1 (2027)

The European Hebrew Journal (EHJ) invites original scholarly submissions for its inaugural issue and welcomes contributions from university faculty, researchers, independent scholars, and doctoral candidates worldwide.

EHJ is an international peer-reviewed open access journal, published by the Institute for Hebrew Language and Literature, dedicated to rigorous interdisciplinary research in Hebrew studies, Jewish studies, philology, manuscript traditions, Semitic linguistics, theology, and related humanities disciplines.

The journal encourages submissions in areas including, but not limited to:
