Editorial Board Nominations, Reviewer Expressions of Interest, and International Scholarly Cooperation

The European Hebrew Journal (EHJ) welcomes expressions of interest from qualified scholars interested in contributing to the development of an international peer-reviewed platform dedicated to Hebrew language studies, Jewish studies, Semitic linguistics, Biblical studies, philology, textual criticism, manuscript studies, Dead Sea Scrolls research, Hebrew literature, theology, lexicography, and related interdisciplinary fields.

EHJ is an open-access scholarly journal committed to fostering rigorous academic dialogue and international cooperation among researchers working in areas connected to Hebrew language, Jewish history, ancient texts, religion, Semitic cultures, and manuscript traditions.

As part of the journal’s continued international development, EHJ seeks to expand cooperation with researchers, reviewers, and distinguished scholars from universities, research institutes, and academic organizations worldwide.

Editorial Board Nominations

EHJ welcomes expressions of interest and nominations from experienced scholars who may wish to contribute to the journal’s long-term academic development through participation on the Editorial Board.

Editorial Board involvement is intentionally limited and flexible.

Participation may occasionally include:

  • providing brief expert opinions regarding whether manuscripts generally meet scholarly standards within a specific field;
  • voluntary consultation concerning journal development and academic direction;
  • approximately one or two evaluations annually, when available;
  • support for strengthening international academic standards and scholarly credibility.

There is no obligation to participate in evaluations when unavailable.

The purpose of Editorial Board membership is primarily scholarly guidance, international cooperation, and support for academic quality.


Reviewer Expressions of Interest

Researchers interested exclusively in peer-review activities are also welcome to express interest.

Reviewers may be invited to evaluate submissions within their area of expertise according to the journal’s peer-review procedures.


International Scholarly Cooperation

EHJ also welcomes broader forms of academic cooperation, including:

  • advisory collaboration;
  • special issue proposals;
  • conference and institutional partnerships;
  • research cooperation;
  • interdisciplinary initiatives;
  • scholarly networking between institutions and researchers.

We believe that international cooperation remains essential for the advancement of Hebrew studies, Jewish studies, and related disciplines.


Submission of Interest

Researchers wishing to express interest in cooperation are invited to provide:

  • full name and institutional affiliation;
  • short academic biography;
  • ORCID (if available);
  • areas of specialization;
  • selected publications or curriculum vitae;
  • personal academic webpage, Google Scholar profile, ORCID profile, or equivalent (optional).
